Daniel P. Leff is Chief Operating Officer of Enron Energy Services. Enron Energy Services is one of four business segments of Enron and provides energy outsourcing services to commercial and industrial clients throughout North America and Europe. Enron is one of the world’s leading electricity, natural gas and communications companies. The company, with revenues of $101 billion in 2000, markets electricity and natural gas, delivers physical commodities and financial and risk management services to customers around the world, and has developed an intelligent network platform to facilitate online business. Fortune magazine has named Enron "America's Most Innovative Company" for six consecutive years.
Prior to Dan's tenure at Enron, he served as President and CEO of FMES Incorporated. FMES provided assessment, development and financing services to improve energy and environmental performance of commercial, institutional and industrial properties, nationwide.
Dan has spent the last 20 years in the integrated energy services field. Prior to establishing FMES in 1992, Dan was President and CEO of Pilot Energy Corp. (1985 - 1992), a design/build/service contractor in New York City and previously worked for United Technologies' Carrier Corporation (1981 - 1985) in both domestic and international assignments.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Union College in Schenectady, New York, and is an active member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE), the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Civil Engineering Research Foundation (CERF), and the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honor Society. He has also been on the editorial advisory board of Contracting Business Magazine and the advisory and editorial board of Energy and Environmental Management Magazine. Dan also serves as a board member for the Houston Annenberg Challenge, which promotes public school reform in Houston.
Dan resides in Houston, TX with his wife and four children.
