RAYMOND M. BOWEN, JR.
Chief Operating Officer
Enron Industrial Markets

Raymond M. Bowen Jr. is chief operating officer of Enron Industrial Markets, a business unit within Enron's Wholesale Group established to expand Enron's business activities in the pulp & paper, lumber, and steel industries. He is also a member of Enron's Executive Committee.

Previously, Mr. Bowen was managing director of Enron North America (ENA) and head of the Commercial Transactions Group (CTG), which is responsible for the execution and structuring of transactions across ENA. Before the creation of the CTG in July 1999, Mr. Bowen was treasurer of ENA, responsible for funding ENA's business activities.

Mr. Bowen joined Enron in February 1996 as vice president of Enron Energy Services; Consumer Services Group, with responsibility for Enron's retail sales activities with residential consumers. In December 1997 he transferred to Enron Capital Management as a vice president and, in October 1998 he was named vice president and treasurer of Enron Capital & Trade Resources. Prior to joining Enron, he was vice president and senior banker in Citicorp's Petroleum, metals and mining department based in Houston, responsible for managing several of the major energy relationships of the bank. He joined Citibank in 1991 from Bankers Trust Company where he managed major corporate relationships in the energy industry.

Mr. Bowen has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas and an MBA from Rice University.
