The 100-megawatt project is the third phase of a 400 megawatt renewables program in which NSP will purchase power under a 30-year agreement with Zond.

"We are delighted and pleased to be selected by NSP to supply Phase III of this world class renewables project," said Kenneth C. Karas, chairman and chief executive officer of Enron Wind Corp. "We applaud NSP's interest and support of environmentally sound sources of electricity."
