ENRON ENTERS TOLEDO RESIDENTIAL NATURAL GAS MARKET -- "CLEAN START" PROVIDES RESIDENTS 15 PERCENT LOWER GAS PRICE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, March 27, 1997

HOUSTON -- Enron Energy Services (EES), an operating unit of Enron Capital & Trade Resources, announced today that it has entered the Toledo, Ohio, natural gas market as a supplier to residential consumers. Through its product "Clean Start," Enron will provide residential gas consumers a 15 percent discount from the average of the last twelve month's base natural gas price.

Enron, one of the largest integrated natural gas companies in North America, has been supplying natural gas to commercial customers in Ohio for nearly 15 years through its office in Dublin, Ohio. Now, through a program offered by Columbia Gas, Toledo residents are able to select from among numerous competitive natural gas suppliers.
