Through Enron's Matching
Gifts program, the company and employees pledge more
than $3 million annually to the
United Way and 82 of its member
agencies in the greater Houston area. In 1998, Enron received the prestigious
"Summit Award" from the United Way in recognition of our outstanding
support.
Each year Enron employees adopt a United Way agency. The relationship is
based on volunteerism, not on corporate contribution dollars. Ripley House is Enron's 1999 United
Way adopted agency. The Boys and Girls
Clubs of Greater Houston was the 1998 adopted agency, and Search Homeless
Project was the 1997 adopted agency.
